The 2025 season marked one of the most challenging debut years in Lewis Hamilton’s Formula 1 career. Beyond his Sprint victory in China, the British driver struggled to find consistency and competitiveness behind the wheel of the Ferrari, experiencing a season well below expectations.

Despite these difficulties, Charles Leclerc wanted to dismiss any doubts about his teammate’s motivation. In the final races of the championship, Lewis Hamilton had hinted at the possibility of leaving Formula 1, frustrated by the results. However, the Monegasque driver reaffirmed his trust in the seven-time world champion and in the team’s spirit.

As reported by racingnews365, Charles Leclerc stated: “I think Lewis has always been extremely motivated. The end of the season was tough for him, but also for the entire team. The car became progressively more difficult to drive, but I’m sure we’ll all come back stronger next year.” – the Monegasque driver pointed out.

Ferrari began 2025 aiming to fight for the title, after narrowly missing out on the Constructors’ Championship in 2024. However, those expectations were not met: the Scuderia failed to secure a single Grand Prix win, making the year particularly bitter.

When asked about how personally challenging this season has been, Charles Leclerc concluded his comments with clarity: “It was a tough season, but I’m not sure it was the most difficult with Ferrari. I always try to forget negative emotions as quickly as possible.”

With fresh technical rules promising a reset, Charles Leclerc’s optimism reflects belief that lessons from 2025 will fuel a stronger push. The Monegasque’s words serve as a reminder that motivation at the highest level often burns brightest after adversity – setting the stage for what Ferrari hopes will be a competitive resurgence when the new cars hit the track.
