It’s finally homecoming for Rohit Sharma and the team. The men in blue played and won the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, successfully finishing the season in style remaining undefeated. While South Africa, their opponents left Barbados on the day of the match, Team India got stuck due to the threat of a big hurricane on the coastal area. Amid excitement for the victory parade, heavy rains In Mumbai delay team India’s flight from Delhi.

The team also met with India’s honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence around 11:00 AM IST. The team will be travelling to Mumbai soon as the men in blue have arranged for a winners parade with fans.

It “rains on India’s parade” as team India’s flight gets delayed

Bad weather just can’t leave team India alone. While the team got stranded in Barbados due to hurricane Beryl, the team has finally reached India on a chartered flight specially booked by the BCCI.Now, team India’s flight to Mumbai got delayed due to heavy rains in the city.

Team India boarded on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai for a victory parade from NCPA. The team will board the bus and go on a parade till the Wankhede Stadium.

Team India will be felicitated in a special ceremony at the Wankhede, as previously intimated by BCCI chief Jay Shah. The whole India squad, including the supporting staff has also been given prize money that sums up to a whopping 125 crores.

Fans excited to see their favourite team in Mumbai

The Indian cricket fans can’t keep calm as the men in blue return home with the much coveted T20 World Cup 2024 trophy in hand. Social media has flooded with fans and so have been the streets of Delhi and now, Mumbai.

As team India’s parade nears, fans from all around the country have come together on the streets of Mumbai, celebrating the boys’ win as their own. Pictures of the men in blue with the trophy in their hands have been garnering utmost attention from people on social media.
