Heinrich Klaasen, the star batting sensation

from South Africa, has been retained for the 2025 IPL season by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 23 crore prior to the IPL mega auction. He has taken Suryakumar Yadav, the T20I captain of India to be the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Times) cricketer while sidelining the likes of Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers and Chris Gayle too. Surya, who was the captain of the Indian team, led them to an 11-run victory over South Africa in the third T20I match played at SuperSport Park, Centurion, on Wednesday (November 13). So far he has played 298 matches in T20 cricket and scored 7743 runs. He has registered six centuries and fifty-three half-centuries. The right-hander from Mumbai in March 2021 made his T20I debut for the Men in Blue against England and has played 77 matches since earning 2570 runs up to date.

He is among the three cricketers who have slashed four T20I centuries and he also becomes the second cricketer who has scored above 1000 runs in T20I s in a year.

In the recent Q20s show on Jio Cinema, while replying to a question about who the G.O.A.T. of T20 cricket is, batting all-rounder Klaasen who has made a name for himself as one of the most explosive white-ball cricketers in the recent past said, “I would say SKY (Suryakumar Yadav).”

In addition to that, he was further required to name the most fearsome bowler to come across in terms of scoring runs in the aforementioned format and he put forward the name of the famous Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah has established himself as a world-class bowler in all formats of the game especially in Tests and One Day Internationals since his one day international debut for the Men in Blue in January 2016. In fact, he is the only ICC bowler in the world who has consecutively been the number one ranked bowler in all the three formats of the game.

The 30-year-old right-arm fast bowler recorded 15 scalps in 8 matches of the 2024T20 World Cup for India, and he bagged the Player of the Tournament award also for the outstanding performance.

The South African Wicketkeeper Batter was asked to give one name of the batter he could trust with his life, to which he spoke the name of Amla.

He scored 9282, 8113, and 1277 runs for the South African men’s cricket team over the span of 15 years in 124 test matches, 181 ODI matches, and 44 T20I matches respectively.
