Samoa Joe has been written off after his swashbuckling battle against another formidable name in the circuit of pro-wrestling, former WWE star, Chris Jericho. The match aired on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Ever since he joined the company, Samoa Joe has been on a roll, owing to his reckoning grappling background. From deadpan dry humour to being a one-man wrecking crew, Joe has been in sensational touch for AEW. In fact, he delivered the final blow to snatch the belt away from MJF, holding the AEW title for 113 days.
After HOOK lost his title against Y2J, Joe took the youngster under his tutelage and clubbed him alongside Katsuyori Shibata to roll out a formidable faction. This two teams finally met each other face to face in AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Last week Samoa Joe threw down the gauntlet at the feet of the Learning Tree to battle in a Stampede Street Fight on Dynamite. Despite a show of resistance from Joe and his teammates, Jericho being the ultimate mean machine put Samoa Joe and the forklift that was already out through the wall that forced the referees to call off the match and announce Y2J the winner.

Samoa Joe was carried out in an ambulance which saw the company write him off ahead of the upcoming mega event All In. As per PW Insider, this is no real injury and just a part of the kayfabe plan to allow Joe some time because he has been signed to be a part of Twisted Metal.

The report from PWI stated, “Samoa Joe was likely written out by Chris Jericho as he will be returning for Season 2 of Twisted Metal, which will begin shooting in Toronto later this month. Filming is scheduled for at least through October, although there will be breaks in between certain episodes. Joe will be reprising his role as Sweet Tooth.”
Whether Joe will be a part of All In PPV or not, only time shall reveal the answer while the company gears up for another power-packed show in the PLE.
