Unlike previous auction when fast bowlers like Starc and Cummins were among the most expensive players, this year, fast bowlers were bought at more reasonable prices.
The IPL 2025 auction has concluded, with all 10 teams finalizing their squads. This time, teams invested heavily in batters, with big purchases like Rishabh Pant for INR 27 crore, Shreyas Iyer for INR 26.75 crore, and Venkatesh Iyer for INR 23.75 crore.
Unlike previous auction when fast bowlers like Starc and Cummins were among the most expensive players, this year, fast bowlers were bought at more reasonable prices. While some may have expected a higher price, a few bowlers surprised everyone with bids higher than anticipated, reflecting changing trends in the auction market.

SRH placed the final bid at INR 15.75 crore, which Punjab Kings matched using their RTM card. SRH raised the bid to INR 18 crore, but Punjab Kings again exercised their RTM, ensuring Arshdeep returned to his home team and will play in front of his local fans once more.
Mohammed Siraj (Gujarat Titans – INR 12.25 Crore)
In the IPL 2025 auction, Gujarat Titans acquired Mohammed Siraj for INR 12.25 crore after RCB opted to release him. Other teams like CSK and RR were also interested in the fast bowler, but Gujarat made the winning bid.
RCB had the option to use their Right to Match (RTM) card, but they chose not to, allowing Siraj to make the move. After seven seasons with RCB, Siraj joins Gujarat Titans, aiming to bolster their bowling lineup in the upcoming IPL 2025 season.
T. Natarajan (Delhi Capitals – INR 10.75 Crore)
T. Natarajan has been acquired by Delhi Capitals for INR 10.75 crore after being released by SRH before the IPL 2025 auction. The bidding war included teams like SRH and RCB, but Delhi emerged as the winner.
With Natarajan joining DC, he will bolster their bowling lineup alongside Mitchell Starc. The combination of both fast bowlers offers great potential, with their contrasting styles likely to complement each other and play a crucial role in DC’s campaign for IPL 2025.
