HomeBois BSE came into KIC 2025 as a leading favorite to win it all after their dominant form in MKL Fall 2025. With star jungler Tat Yann ‘MusangKing’ Chan, Chee Hong ‘ZhiHong’ Lim, Li Zhe ‘Zhe’ Low returning from their KIC 2024 Championship, this squad was primed for greatness anew. They only dropped a single match in the Group Stages. They were only really challenged in the Playoffs by Filipino squad Blacklist International when they were pushed to an Ultimate Battle in the Upper Bracket Semifinals before comfortably making it into the Grand Finals.
On the other hand, Nova Esports struggled against OG and settled for a 3-2 score in their Group Stage performance in KIC 2025. But the second best team in Malaysia turned it on when they arrived in the Playoff stages. Nova only dropped a single match on their way to the Upper Bracket finals before losing to Homebois BSE.
When the Grand Finals between Homebois BSE and Nova Esports rolled it, it was a dominant performance all around for the reigning KIC champs. Not a single game was close as Homebois BSE showed complete mastery over their Malaysian rivals. Wong Sit ‘GuiYu’ Siang garnered the Finals MVP award with stellar performances from the clash lane throughout the series. Most recently the 17 year old GuiYu also earned the Finals MVP at the Honor of Kings Clash 2025 tournament earlier this year.
On the final day of KIC 2025, the Fan Awards were also given out. Filipino host Mara Aquino was awarded the Fans Favorite Voice while Blacklist International won the Fans Favorite team. Malaysian jungler Zhan Quan ‘ZhanQ’ Yong claimed Fans Favorite Player while streamer AkoSi Dogie bagged the King of Influencer Award.
