Hong Kong, China won the Women’s East Asia Cup 2024






The Women’s East Asia Cup in Korea hosted by Korea Cricket Association (KCA) have been named for Hong Kong, China Women as they win over Japan Women by ten wickets in the final match.

Japan Women batted first and scored 108/6 in 20 overs where Haruna Iwasaki scored the most 22 runs for the team in 15 balls. Ahilya Chandel was not out at 19 runs off 14 balls with Mai Yanagida made 18 runs off 31 deliveries.

Mei Wai Siu, Joyleen Kaur Dhaliwal, Mariko Tabitha Hill, Fatima Amir and Bibi Maryam took a wicket each for Hong Kong, China Women.

In response, Hong Kong, China Women started the innings with Natasha Miles and Mariko Tabitha Hill. Nataasha made 40 runs in 51 deliveries. Mariko made 48 runs din 53 deliveries. Extras was the third top run scorer with 23 runs. Hong Kong, China Women made 111 runs for the loss of no wickets in 16.4 overs to win the match.

Japan utilized Ahilya Chandel, Nonoha Yasumoto, Shimako Kato, Erika Toguchi-Quinn and Elena Kusuda-Nairn in the bowling.

Hong Kong, China Women won the Women’s East Asia Cup 2024.
