How Caddi Club is pioneering England’s indoor golf revolution? : Golf Business Monitor

Indoor golf simulators have become one of the fastest-growing segments of the UK golf and leisure industry.

Combining advanced tracking technology with the social atmosphere of modern urban clubs, simulator venues are changing how golfers practise, compete, and socialise — particularly in major cities such as London.

Within this emerging market, Caddi Club has established itself as England’s largest dedicated network of indoor golf simulator venues.

As the company celebrates its fourth anniversary, its growth mirrors the wider expansion of indoor golf across the UK.

The Rise of Indoor Golf in the UK

The UK indoor golf simulator sector has expanded rapidly over the past decade. Industry estimates suggest there are now roughly 1,200 indoor golf venues across the UK, ranging from private golf clubs and training academies to standalone simulator lounges and social entertainment venues.

England accounts for approximately 60–65% of the UK’s simulator installations, reflecting the country’s concentration of golfers, population density, and urban leisure venues.

Major cities such as London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Bristol have seen a surge in the number of facilities offering simulator-based golf experiences.

Across the country, an estimated 4,500 simulator systems are now installed in commercial venues, clubs, and residential settings.

Based on typical utilisation levels, this equates to roughly 700,000 to 1.1 million people playing indoor golf simulators in the UK each year, with England accounting for roughly 450,000 to 700,000 participants.

The growth is being driven by several factors:

  • year-round training opportunities regardless of the weather
  • the increasing sophistication of ball-tracking technology
  • demand for “competitive socialising” venues that combine sport with hospitality
  • urban golfers seeking convenient practice options

Technologies such as TrackMan have played a major role in the expansion, providing highly accurate ball-tracking, data analytics, and immersive course simulations.

From Chelsea Golf Club to Caddi Club

Founded in London as The Chelsea Golf Club, Caddi Club began as a single indoor golf venue designed to provide a premium simulator environment for golfers looking to practise, compete, and socialise in the capital.

Four years later, the business has grown into England’s largest network of dedicated indoor golf simulator clubs, with venues now operating in:

  • Chelsea
  • Fulham
  • Waterloo
  • Wimbledon

A fifth location is planned to open in spring 2026, with the company targeting two new venues per year as part of its growth strategy.

The expansion means that the venues now regularly interact with more than 3,000 active golfers, providing members with access to high-performance simulator facilities, coaching, and social golf events.

A Premium Simulator Experience

Each Caddi Club venue is built around TrackMan simulator technology, widely regarded as the benchmark for professional-grade ball-tracking and golf simulation.

Members can practise or play on a wide range of world-famous golf courses, including:

  • The Old Course at St Andrews
  • Adare Manor
  • Bethpage Black Course
  • Wentworth Club West Course

For beginners, the TrackMan virtual short course at London Gardens has proven particularly popular as an accessible first step into playing simulated rounds rather than simply practising on a range.

Since opening its doors, Caddi Club members and guests have collectively hit more than 20 million golf shots across the network.

Growing Membership Demand

Demand for the club’s membership model has been strong across the network.

Two of the venues — Chelsea and Waterloo — have already reached full membership capacity, with waiting lists now in operation.

The Fulham location, positioned on the waterfront overlooking the River Thames, is also approaching capacity while maintaining availability for pay-and-play guests and private group bookings.

Meanwhile, Caddi Club Wimbledon, the newest and largest venue in the network, has quickly become a flagship location. The site features:

  • 12 TrackMan simulator bays
  • a 360-degree racing simulator experience (360R)
  • large event and entertainment spaces
  • a full restaurant and bar offering

The venue has proven particularly popular for corporate events and group entertainment in South-West London.

A Growing Business

Caddi Club’s growth reflects the strong commercial potential of the simulator market. The network expects to generate more than £4 million in revenue by the end of 2026, supported by:

  • recurring memberships
  • coaching programs
  • corporate events
  • simulator bookings and hospitality

As the indoor golf market expands, hybrid leisure venues combining sport, technology, and hospitality are becoming increasingly attractive to urban consumers.

Strengthening the Leadership Team

Alongside its physical expansion, Caddi Club has also strengthened its leadership team in early 2026.

Maria Dunn joined the company as Area Manager after leading member-driven networks at Sixes Social Cricket and Coppa Club. She now oversees operational performance across the four venues.

Shortly afterwards, James Somerside joined as Head of Golf. With experience at IMG, TaylorMade, and Golfbreaks, Somerside will focus on integrating the venues more closely into the wider golf ecosystem.

His role includes developing partnerships with major golf brands and enhancing the coaching programmes delivered by Caddi Club’s in-house professionals.

The Future of Indoor Golf

The UK simulator market remains relatively fragmented, with venues ranging from private club installations to urban entertainment venues.

However, the sector is expected to continue expanding rapidly as technology improves and more golfers embrace year-round indoor play.

In this evolving landscape, Caddi Club has positioned itself at the intersection of performance training, membership-based clubs, and social leisure experiences.

With a growing network of venues, strong membership demand, and continued expansion plans, the company is helping to define the next generation of urban golf clubs in England.
