However, as they say that at the end of the day, once you have achieved your dream, what’s next? The same question bothered Cody Rhodes too. Ever since his win at WrestleMania, the very next night when he returned for Raw, the fans felt something was amiss.

Somehow, people started craving for Roman Reigns and the entire Bloodline saga that took a flurry of WWE icons to be put to the bed was awash with a hunger for the new storyline. Truth be told, Cody Rhodes himself wanted to find out what was going on because somehow he wasn’t exactly happy.

Here is Cody Rhodes had to say on his post-WrestleMania blues

Talking on the Pivot Podcast, Cody Rhodes said, “There’s even like a post-WrestleMania blues psychology-wise like what’s the next thing? So I always need a task; what’s my specific task? And that’s an area where I look to Steve Austin and I look to John Cena who are the lead dogs and this is not me in my ego, I have this [the championship], so I’m currently in front of the pack, right?”

In fact in the interview, Cody Rhodes pointed out that WWE had no plans for him facing Roman Reigns. But it was the sudden change in the audience’s reaction that compelled the company to switch stance and eventually it turned out to be a roller-coaster.

With Bloodline 2.0 taking flight under the watch of Solo Sikoa, it is almost inevitable that Roman Reigns will be making his return shortly, in fact reports state that the return is slated to happen at SummerSlam. It is going to be intriguing to see how the storyline for the new Bloodline then shapes up.
