The Rock is credited as one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time. From his incredible success inside the ring to his remarkable growth as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, The Rock has done it all. However, a wrestling veteran revealed that there was some jealousy between a WWE Hall of Famer and the Final Boss.
During the recent edition of Keepin It 100 OFFICIAL, WCW legend Konnan revealed that Kevin Nash, who was one of the top stars of Ted Turner’s promotion at the time, wanted to fire shots at The Rock, the top star of WCW’s rival competitor WWE.
Konnan also believed that there was professional jealousy between the two top guys of the biggest wrestling giants at the height of The Monday Night Wars.
“I do know this I think there was professional jealousy between [Kevin] Nash and Rock because I remember one time I was watching a WWE show with Nash, and Rock lifted his hands up and you could see he had gyno. He [Kevin Nash] goes the first promo I would cut on him is ‘Hey estrogen boy’. I think it was always like Nash was the top guy in WCW, The Rock was the top guy in WWE, and there’s a little top guy jealousy.”
What happened between Kevin Nash and The Rock in WWE?
Following WWE’s acquisition of WCW in 2001, Kevin Nash and his nWo cohorts, Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall, were signed to WWE. Nash and Rock had brief interactions during The Final Boss’ rivalry with Hogan that led to their epic encounter at WrestleMania 18.
The Rock recently returned to WWE as part of the road to WrestleMania 40, where he also returned to in-ring action after eight years. Moreover, The Rock is now also part of the TKO board members, while Kevin Nash has been largely outside the companies pursuing multiple ventures.
