I don’t know what matches WWE currently has planned for WrestleMania 42 and from the sound of it neither does WWE. What we do know is Brock Lesnar will most definitely be working the show, and while it’s not 100-percent that he’s planned to work with recent NXT call up Oba Femi, it should absolutely be the case.
And I need Femi to handle that man in six seconds or less.
The two had an electric confrontation in the Royal Rumble this year. Femi was making his main roster debut proper and running wild on the field when Lesnar was called on to be the irresistible force to Femi’s immovable object. In the end, Brock eliminated Oba while he was trying to take Logan Paul out of the match.
The timing also lines up perfectly.
Femi is in the midst of a big push as (maybe) the next big star on the roster. The powers that be are smashing him over, to the point that questions are being asked of those he’s taking out. His dismantling of The War Raiders has folks questioning the duo’s future in the company:
He followed that up by throwing around poor Kit Wilson on SmackDown, picking up his first official win as a roaming free agent eager to run down the throat of everyone in his path. He’s got the look, he’s got the feel, he can work his ass off, and fans are responding to his character in all the right ways. The entrance is incredible, the theme works, and the chants are loud.
Lesnar, meanwhile, is a 48-year-old man who is at the tail end of his career. WWE has supposedly already talked about booking a farewell story for him. That means it’s time for Lesnar to do what John Cena just did and put someone over just as big as he possibly can on the way out.
It’s also time for someone to finally get Kofi Kingston’s get back and put Lesnar down in six seconds or less.
Oba Femi is the guy to do it.
