Yograj Singh, former cricketer of India, has unleashed on MS Dhoni, former captain of India, accusing him of ruining Yuvraj Singhās career and saying that he will never ever forgive the 43 year old wicket mobile in a scathing attack. The man who wore Indian colours during one Test and six ODIs in 1981 feels that Dhoni is a great player but what he has done to his son is unforgivable.
He told Zee Switchās YouTube channel in an interview, āI wonāt forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his own reflection in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in lifeā¦ There are two things I have never done in life: (a) I havenāt forgiven anybody who did me wrong (b) I havenāt hugged anyone throughout my life even if they are blood relations or my childrenā.
Yograj opined that Yuvraj could have lasted for 4-5 years more with same grace and blamed the early retirement on Dhoni.
āThat man (MS Dhoni) has ruined my sonās life who could have played for four to five more years. Let everyone who has children like Yuvraj come forward and dare me! Even in past, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said that there will not be another Yuvraj Singh. India should confer Bharat Ratna upon him because he played with cancer and won World Cup for the country,ā Yograj also said
India witnessed Yuvrajās initial burst into international cricket on October 3, 2000 when he played his first ODI against Kenya at Nairobi followed by an impressive career which saw him participate in 40 tests matches, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is for the country. In both the 2007 T20 World Cup as well as 2011 ODI WC, he was an instrumental player.
During the inaugural edition of menās shortest format megaevent Yuvraj hit English pacer Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over while in 2011 ODI WC he received Player of the Series award after scoring 361 runs alongside taking 15 wickets for MS Dhoni-led side.
Against West Indies, Yuvraj featured in his last match for India on June 30, 2017, he however announced his retirement from international cricket in May 2019.
