International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced an all-female umpiring panel for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup which is set to kick off on 3 October 2024 in UAE. The marquee event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) all-female umpiring panel which is a historic milestone. This decision of ICC to go with all-female umpiring panel shows the commitment of ICC to promote gender equality in the game of cricket.

Let’s look closely to this historic milestone as ICC goes with experienced umpiring panel for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The panel features seasoned umpires such as Claire Polosak who will be officiating her fifth World Cup. The other names include Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams, both of whom have three tournaments under their belts.

Sue Redfern will join the team who will be returning for her fourth tournament as a TV umpire. Sarah Dambanevana from Zimbabwe will be a debutant. The match referees include GS Lakshmi, Shandre Fritz and Michell Pereira.
