Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently preparing for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be hosted by Pakistan next year. International Cricket Council (ICC) sent out a team of five members for them to visit Pakistan and inspect the upcoming event.
The top officials of the ICC Event’s and Security Departments, along with the General Manager of Cricket and Production Manager are part of the team.
The ICC Pitch Consultant, Andy Atkinson also visited Pakistan on three different occasions since April.
The ICC would reportedly discuss the schedule of the tournament which was prepared and sent by PCB a few months ago.
“The tentative schedule is important because it involves the Indian team being based in Lahore and playing all their matches in the city,” a well-informed source said quoted PTI.
The source said it is completely up to ICC to decide when to finalise and announce the tournament schedule.
