The opening ceremony will kick off at 7:30 pm IST with a dazzling display of entertainment. Shahid Kapoor, known for his dynamic dance moves and hit songs, will headline the event alongside Pooja Hegde and Sonam Bajwa. The trio is expected to perform their popular tracks, culminating in an impressive fireworks display that will light up the Dubai sky. Adding to the glamour, renowned Bollywood producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani will co-host the ceremony with Ridhima Pathak.
Shahid expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The opening evening promises a unique fusion of Bollywood’s finest and the pinnacle of T20 cricket, set against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai International Stadium, famously known as The Ring of Fire.”

Following the opening ceremony, the inaugural match of ILT20 2025 will commence at 8:45 pm IST, featuring a thrilling rematch between defending champions MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals.

Tournament’s overview and the star players participating
The third season of the International League T20 (ILT20) runs from January 11 to February 9, and will feature six franchises competing in a double round-robin format. Each team will play against every other team twice during the group stages. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, culminating in what is expected to be an exhilarating final.
This season’s tournament boasts an impressive lineup of international cricketing talent. Notable players include Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooram, David Warner, Sam Curran, Sikandar Raza among others. The franchises have retained several key players while also bringing in fresh talent to enhance their squads.
