Discord recently cursed my X feed with a post about its new avatar decoration, which features two bare feet smacking its toes together.
“Please enjoy,” Discord wrote.

On April 2nd, Discord decided that keeping and leaking everyone’s sensitive security information was nothing. That really looks like a trivial matter after what Discord decided to post today: the Clappy Feet avatar decoration.
Welp, foot-focused gooners rejoice: Your Discord avatar can now have two bare feet playfully smacking together. And you can even change their skin tone to make them more personable. There is also a nameplate featuring two feet giddily clapping their soles together.
“Once again validating my Nitro cancellation,” one person tweeted.
“Dan Schneider working at Discord now we see,” added another.
“Congratulations. I’ve never enjoyed something less. You have managed to sink beneath Reddit level,” a third reply read.
But another one pointed out: “Diversity wins!”
Discord, it’s not too late to remove this avatar decoration. There are teens using your platform. Think of the children. Or maybe don’t. I don’t know. But just remove these bare feet. I’m begging you. We are still aware of the data leak. We are not distracted. All this does is make us sick.

I didn’t think Discord could sink any lower. Well, I did. But not like this. Just collect more sensitive data, bro. Enough with the smacking feet.
