Arriving in the mail for review recently was a set of Prungo Red Light Therapy Modules for treating wrist, ankle knee and other joint pain.
They arrived not a moment too soon, as I have been suffering from some elbow tendonitis over the last week, prompting a layoff of both golf and workouts.
The theory behind them is that infrared light help muscle and joint pain by nudging cells’ energy systems, dampening inflammation, and supporting tissue repair rather than by heating tissue or “fixing” damage directly. A quick review of online literature at the US National Library of Medicine has a review of studies which suggest there may be something to that.
The package has three rechargeable modules in a case with a couple of straps for attaching them to various body parts.
I’ll give it a good workout and let you know how it works.
