Indian captain Rohit Sharma returning to the squad after missing the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not gone well. After the team’s 10-wicket defeat to Australia in Adelaide, Rohit lost his fourth consecutive Test match as captain of India.
Rohit got added to the embarrassing list that has some well-known names. A lot of captains from India have dropped four Test matches back-to-back. The five other Indian captains who have lost four or more back-to-back Test marches are Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Datta Gaekwad, and MK Pataudi.

The last Indian captain to have lost four consecutive Test matches was Virat Kohli. In the 2020-21 season India faced defeats in two Tests against New Zealand, one against England, and one against Australia under the leadership of Kohli.
