India set to face Pakistan in T20I clash ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), on Wednesday, November 13, announced the schedule for the Women’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 to be held in Malaysia. The tournament is set to be played in the T20 format from December 15 to 22 at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval.

The group matches will be followed by the fifth place playoff match on December 18. Matches in the Super Four will take place on December 19 and 20 and the final is scheduled for December 22.

A total of 6 teams will be participating in the Asian tournament namely – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Malaysia. The tournament will feature a total of 12 matches.

India have been drawn in Group A alongside Pakistan and Nepal, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Malaysia. The Women in Blue will play their opening match of the tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on December 15.

Back in September, the ACC confirmed the hosting of the Women’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 during an Executive Board Meeting in Kuala Lumpur. The championship was organized to give the players a chance to prepare for the U19 World Cup to be held next year.
