India are scheduled to tour South Africa for a four-match T20I series in four different towns in South Africa. The teams will travel from Centurion all the way through Gqeberha. The two teams will play the first T20I in Durban on 8th November.
On Friday, the Men’s Selection Committee of the Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) announced the squads for India’s tour of South Africa through a Media Advisory. Tilak Verma is back in the squad with a couple of new faces.
Surya Kumar Yadav is set to lead the side while Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma are the two wicketkeepers in the squad. Mayank Yadav, Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag were unavailable for the selection due to injuries. The Proteas are yet to announce the squad for the series.
The last time these two teams faced off was the ICC T20 World Cup Final 2024 and they are going to face off again this November. There will be a lot of change in both teams, conditions, and platforms, but somewhere in between, the fire would be the same.
The first T20I is set to be played on 8th November in Durban and St George’s Park, Gqeberha will host the second T20I. Centurion and Johannesburg will be hosting the last two T20Is respectively.
