Indian Team is Likely to Meet PM Modi After T20 WC Win

After 11 years of trophy drought has finally ended. Team India lifted the T20 World Cup trophy after a long wait. In this edition of the T20 World Cup, Team India showcased their brilliance. They entered into the final match with an unbeaten streak registered a win and kept the streak alive. After that incredible win Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi congratulated. Now the source is saying, that whenever they come to India, they are likely to meet him. 

Team India’s Incredible Win:

This edition of the T20 World Cup has seen some brilliant performances. Since the beginning, Team India has been in great form. They didn’t face any defeats and entered in the final. They faced South Africa and the match turned out to be a thriller. The Kensington Oval witnessed Team India’s prowess and dominance. 

While batting first in this match, they lost some early wickets. But after struggling in the previous matches, Virat Kohli nailed the final match. He scored an excellent half-century and played a knock of 76 runs in 59 runs. Axar Patel’s impactful knock of 47 runs in 31 balls was crucial. Shivam Dube added 27 runs. They set a target of 177 runs to the opponent. 

While chasing the target, South Africa was in great form. Quinton de Kock scored 39 runs in 31 balls. Heinrich Klaasen scored a half-century and played a knock of 52 runs in 27 balls. But the Indian bowlers shined the brightest. In the 16th over, when South Africa was already in a good stage, Bumrah showcased magic by conceding just 4 runs in that over. In the last over, Hardik Pandya secured 2 wickets. Those efforts sealed the game. India lifted the trophy for the second time. 

Team India to Meet PM:

A day after India’s 11-year wait for an ICC trophy ended with the T20 World Cup victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Men In Blue in a phone call, praising their outstanding performance. He commended Rohit Sharma for his excellent captaincy and acknowledged his T20 career achievements. Modi also praised Virat Kohli for his crucial innings in the final and his overall contribution to Indian cricket, alongside coach Rahul Dravid’s efforts.

The Indian team is expected to receive a grand welcome. According to sources, the Indian team is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon their return to India. Now, the entire nation is waiting for the world champions to welcome.
