Rashid got wed in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul and the wedding telecasted via footage went viral over the internet. The Afghan superstar, who is called Taskeen Ahmadi by most people, is known to be the No. 1 T20I bowler in the world. The wedding was traditionally held according to Pashtun customs or rites. Many players from the Afghanistan national cricket team were present at his wedding. However, the photos and clips shared from the inside of the wedding hall created a huge stir on social media.
There were a crowd of guests outside the hotel where the wedding of the above-mentioned cricketer took place, many of whom were carrying guns.
Many stars from Afghanistan shared pictures and videos on their platforms to congratulate Rashid. One of the seasoned players in the Afghan team, Mohammad Nabi was one of the first players to message Rashid, congratulating him on the new chapter in his life.
On social media site X who goes by the handle ‘gotshamandt’ wrote: ‘Congrats to Rashid Khan the only and ‘King Khan’ Rashid, glad you’re getting married! You have a long love-filled, happy, and successful life ahead of you. @rashidkhan_19.”
Rashid undoubtedly is one of the best cricketers of this age especially in the world of T20I cricket. He has numerous records including the fastest bowler to reach the milestones of 50 and 100 wickets feat. In the earlier times, he has also held the top position in the ICC T20I rankings for bowlers.
