The IPL franchises have officially released their eagerly anticipated retention list ahead of the 2025 players’ auction, scheduled to take place in Riyadh on November 24 and 25.
Attention now shifts to the marquee players who have been released by the ten teams in advance of this key event.
The deadline for all ten franchises to finalize their retention list was extented to 5:30 pm IST from the earlier cut off time of 5 pm IST.
Who is an uncapped played?
A cricketer is deemed uncapped if they have not played for their national team in any international format (T20I, ODI or Test). In the Indian context, a player who has not been part of the national team’s playing XI in the last five years or lacks a BCCI central contract is also classified as uncapped.
