IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Best Bowling Lineup Ranking

IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Best Bowling Lineup Ranking

With the Delhi Capitals team as an outlier, explore the IPL 2026 Bowling lineup ranking best analysis for all 10 teams for the Indian Premier League.

In a format where a 200 score is becoming more of a formality, the Bowling department of any team becomes very important. With flat highway pitches being offered for most of the matches, even an average batter can hit a mile. Add to this the impact player rule that gives 7-8 batting options for each team. This is where the presence of quality bowlers becomes extremely crucial for each team. Hence, teams are always in look out bowlers who can take wickets in all phases of the match.

When we talk about the bowling lineup in the Indian Premier League, we are looking at bowlers who are skilled in 2 of the 3 phases of the match. Each bowler is required to be skilled in either Power play bowling, Middle phase bowling, or death bowling. Usually, pacers are required in Powerplay and Death overs, while spinners take the centre stage in the middle overs and sometimes Powerplay overs. Skillets also differ according to bowlers. Some are raw pace bowlers, some focus on swing and seam movement, some are finger spinners, some wrist, and some vary pace in death overs. So, each team has this unique combination of bowlers in the lineup.

It’s been more than 10 matches now in the Indian Premier League, and each team seem to have settled with their best bowling lineup. While some injuries to first-choice bowlers like Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Matheesha Pathirana persist, once they are back, they should be the bowling attack for their respective teams. So, considering the best six bowlers of each team, let’s look at the IPL 2026 best bowling lineup ranking for all 10 Teams for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Best Bowling Lineup Ranking

#10: Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Pat Cummins
  • Jaydev Unadkat
  • Harshal Patel
  • Harsh Dubey
  • Shivang Kumar
  • Nitish Reddy

Number 10 in the rankings belongs to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, and this should not even be a surprise. Barring Cummins, who is unavailable for the first 7 matches, there is literally not a single reliable bowler in the team. Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel are off their prime, and cannot bowl well in all matches. Whereas Shivang is young, and Harsh and Nitish are good as supporting bowlers. So, overall, SRH have the worst bowling attack among all teams, and it is their batting that takes the cherry.

#9: Lucknow Super Giants

  1. Mohammed Shami
  2. Avesh Khan
  3. Prince Yadav
  4. M Siddharth
  5. Digvesh Rathi
  6. Aiden Markram

Number 9 belongs to the Lucknow Super Giants team, and it’s an All-Indian bowling attack – the only team in the competition to have so. Mohammed Shami leads the bowling attack for LSG, and he seems to be getting back in the groove. Avesh Khan and Prince Yadav are two other good Indian pacers, but they are not the most reliable. Digvesh Rathi, M Siddharth, and Aiden Markram take care of the spin department, but once again, there’s too much inexperience there. So, overall, LSG will need something extraordinary from their bowlers to make it to the top 4.

#8: Chennai Super Kings

  • Khaleel Ahmed
  • Matt Henry
  • Anshul Kamboj
  • Noor Ahmad
  • Prashant Veer
  • Jamie Oveton

Coming to the number 8 position, we have the Chennai Super Kings team, and while there is no lack of quality in the bowling attack, the lack of form is a big issue. Be it Khaleel Ahmed, Matt Henry, or Noor Ahmad, all three are quality bowlers, but the lack of form is hurting them. All three are going through a big form issue, and this is reflected in their bowling performance. Anshul and Overton are decent fourth and fifth bowlers, but the non-utilisation of Prashant Veer has been a shocker. Playing as a bowling AR, CSK are yet to bowl him.

#7: Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Matheesha Pathirana
  • Varun Chakravarthy
  • Kartik Tyagi
  • Vaibhav Arora
  • Sunil Narine
  • Cameron Green

Number 7 belongs to the KKR team, and the team has one of the weakest pace attacks in the competition. Pathirana, who is currently injured, should lead the pace attack once he is back, with support from Vaibhav Arora and Kartik Tyagi. The loss of Harshit Rana is too big for the KKR team, and the loss of form of Narine and Chakravarthy is another big issue to handle. Add to this, Cameron Green isn’t bowling too. Overall, KKR’s bowling looks weak, and may only work when all pieces of the puzzle fall in place.

#6: Royal Challengers Bengaluru

  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar
  • Josh Hazlewood
  • Abhinandan Singh
  • Romario Shepherd
  • Krunal Pandya
  • Suyash Sharma

For number 6, we have the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team, and this should come as a surprise to a few people. Well, Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are exceptional bowlers without a doubt. But leave these two, and the RCB bowling lineup looks vulnerable. Be it Krunal, Suyash, Romario, or Abhinandan, these four aren’t the best options to have in the side. Hence, RCB’s bowling lineup looks vulnerable, and unless batting supports as it did last year, the bowling lineup may struggle to make successful inroads.

#5: Rajasthan Royals

  • Jofra Archer
  • Nandre Burger
  • Sandeep Sharma
  • Tushar Deshpande
  • Ravi Bishnoi
  • Ravindra Jadeja

For number 5, we have the Rajasthan Royals team, and they seem to have revamped their bowling attack this season. Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger are two solid bowlers up in the power play. Whereas Tushar and Sandeep take care of middle and death overs. Add to this another two solid bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi. So, overall, RR’s bowling lineup seems to have the right set of bowlers to succeed in IPL 2026.

#4: Gujarat Titans

  • Kagiso Rabada
  • Mohammed Siraj
  • Prasidh Krishna
  • Ashok Sharma
  • Rashid Khan
  • Washington Sundar

Number 4 belongs to the Gujarat Titans team, and they have one of the most balanced bowling attacks in the competition. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Kagiso Rabada are excellent in the pace bowling department. Whereas Ashok Sharma, with 150+ KMPH bowling, is a solid fourth pacer. Rashid Khan continues to lead the spin department, and Washington Sundar acts as a solid backup 6th bowler. So, overall, GT have all their bases covered in the bowling department.

#3: Mumbai Indians

  • Jasprit Bumrah
  • Trent Boult
  • Hardik Pandya (c)
  • Mitchell Santner
  • Shardul Thakur
  • Mayank Markande

Coming to Number 3, we have the Mumbai Indians team, and the team will have Jasprit Bumrah as the leader of the attack, with Trent Boult, Shardul Thakur, and Hardik Pandya as the other three pacers supporting him. It’s a solid pace attack, but Shardul isn’t the most reliable. He may surprise with a couple of good matches here and there, but he doesn’t have that spark. In the spin bowling department, too, Mitchell Santner and Mayank Markande are decent bowlers, but not the ones that can bring wicket-taking pressure. So, overall, MI’s bowling attack is highly centred on Jasprit Bumrah, and for MI to have a good game, they would need Jasprit Bumrah to come good without a doubt.

#2: Punjab Kings

  • Arshdeep Singh
  • Marco Jansen
  • Vyshak Vijaykumar
  • Xavier Bartlett
  • Yuzvendra Chahal
  • Marcus Stoinis

Moving on to number 2, we have the Punjab Kings team, with some really good bowlers in their bowling lineup. Marco Jansen and Arshdeep Singh are two of the finest left-arm pacers in the world currently. Bartlett and Vyshak are two really good pacers for Powerplay and Death overs. In addition to these, Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the finest wrist spinners in the competition, and Brar or Stoinis act as a good sixth bowling option.

#1: Delhi Capitals

  • Mitchell Starc
  • T Natarajan
  • Mukesh Kumar
  • Axar Patel (c)
  • Kuldeep Yadav
  • Vipraj Nigam

Finally, for number 1, we have the best of the lot, the Delhi Capitals, with probably the finest bowling lineups of the competition. Even without Mitchell Starc, the Delhi Capitals are rocking with their bowling attack. Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan, and Mukesh Kumar are bowling brilliantly, and looking in great form. With three solid pacers in place, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Vipraj Nigam are three solid spinners to have. So, overall, Delhi Capitals’ bowling lineup looks perfect, and the addition of Vipraj improves their bowling depth considerably.
