Ahead of the IPL 2026, Arshdeep Singh expressed his gratitude towards his franchise, Punjab Kings (PBKS), for backing him in his initial days and acknowledged the support from the crowd at Mullanpur.

Arshdeep, while speaking at a grand event in Mohali to unveil PBKS’ jersey for the new season on March 20, stated that “The journey has been amazing.” While addressing the support from the home crowd at Mullanpur, he said, “It is a lot of fun when you get so much support from the crowd. When people cheer for you, you feel that 30,000 people are running in with you at that time. We will try our best to win all our home matches this year.”

While showing gratitude for the franchise, he emphasised the fact that “When you feel the pressure, it is a privilege.” He further added that, “When I came here for the first time, they gave me full support and showed me my potential. They trusted me a lot when no other team did. I really appreciate that, and I want to stay here for a long time. I am looking forward to winning a lot of trophies for the team.”

Arshdeep Singh has been a key bowler for PBKS since 2019, with 97 wickets in 82 matches, making him their all-time leading wicket-taker. His best season came in 2025 (21 wickets) and he played a pivotal role in helping the team reach the final. Known for his death bowling, he was retained for INR 18 crore as he is expected to lead the bowling unit of PBKS in IPL 2026.

PBKS are set to begin their IPL 2026 campaign against Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 31.
