During a training session, Virat Kohli was seen having an extended discussion with the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, which caused a stir on social media. ‘Chinaman’ spinner Kuldeep Yadav put on pads and gloves for batting practice. It’s worth noting that Gambhir and Kohli have had disagreements in the past during the IPL but appeared to have resolved their issues during IPL 2024.

The three One Day Internationals (ODIs) will take place on August 2, August 4, and August 7. India successfully completed the three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) by winning all three matches. Led by Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav, India began their tour of Sri Lanka on July 27 with the T20I series, winning the first match by 43 runs. In the second T20I, India won by seven wickets in a game shortened by rain.
