It does not look like MLB The Show 26 will be on Xbox Game Pass. At least, not to start.
This is essentially the same song and dance from MLB The Show and Xbox from the past two years. This year’s edition will not be a Day One Game Pass game. But, you can still buy it digitally on Xbox.
Then, later on in 2026, it will get added to Game Pass. Generally, this seems to happen around the end of the year. So, depending on when you read this article, the information may have changed.

The MLB The Show 26 Release Time will be on March 17, 2026 at 12 am EST. Listed below are the other major time zones.
- March 17, 2026 at 12 am EST
- March 16, 2026 at 11 pm CST
- March 16, 2026 at 10 pm MST
- March 16, 2026 at 9 pm PST
This will be almost a week ahead of Opening Day for the MLB, or the perfect amount of time to play before watching your favorite team for the 2026 season. The early access release date will be on March 13, 2026. So if you get the game early, you will be able to play over the weekend while others will have to wait.
