Each venue will host 250 cc Asia, 250 cc International and 450 cc classes with cumulative team scoring across the season.

3. Local heroes vs global stars

Indian rider Ishan Shanbag (18) stunned the grid by clocking 51.124 – ahead of five international competitors in practice. Other notable Indian participants include Praal Vishwan and Rug Bar, competing against former champions like Jordi Tixier, Greg Aranda, and Maxim Desprey.

4. The track and conditions

A 1 km custom mud circuit built with 350 truckloads of soil and 4,000 ply sheets turned Balewadi into a temporary stadium course. Despite heavy rain, organisers delivered a faster, low-jump layout that rewards precision and grip management.

5. Teams to watch

  • Rise Torque Racers – the only team manufacturing its own tyres; Mohammed Sidan heads their Asia line-up.

  • Gujarat Trailblazers – known for an aggressive auction strategy and a deep 450 cc roster led by Ben Hallgrén and Boris Moyard.

  • BB Racing – home to world champion Jordi Tixier, racing with a recovered neck injury yet already posting top-three times.

Beyond racing, the Rise Motor Fan Park brought together automotive brands, Red Bull’s F1 car display, merchandise stalls and live music – turning ISRL into a motorsport festival rather than just a race series.
