“It was one of those….”Harmanpreet kaur makes a Shocking revelation after scoring her fastest T 20 half century against Srilanka

Harmanpreet Kaur narrated with joy after scoring her T20I fastest fifty in Dubai on Wednesday, ‘it was one of those days when I was in the zone.’ Despite having struggled in the short format with some inconsistencies, Harmanpreet arrived in a thrashing mood against Sri Lanka during the Women’s T20 World Cup match. She achieved her half-century in 27 balls and on the last ball of the innings. Her earlier fastest fifty – in 29 balls – was also against Sri Lanka way back in the year of 2018.

Except winning the toss and opting to bat first, India dominated the game winning by 82 runs after scoring 172 for three which is the highest score so far in the ongoing World Cup.

Harmanpreet explained, ”It was one of those days where I was in my zone, thinking anything as positive in my vain and hitting anything that came in my zone. These wickets are not very true for batting.

The India captain said after the resounding victory: “You have to keep rotating and only when the ball is in the zone can you swing your bat.”

A big total was within reach owing to a 98-run partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma.

“We as a team just wanted to go with the momentum. Smriti and Shafali gave us a very good start. We talked about that, we did not want to lose our wickets cheaply. And that is what the openers did and gave us that advantage.

“Jemi and I just wanted to get 7-8 runs an over and we just went with the flow,” added the Indian captain who was back to don her number three batswomen’s hat after coming in at four against Pakistan.
