It was a chaotic day for Italians in the Premier League on Saturday, with Guglielmo Vicario, Riccardo Calafiori and Sandro Tonali all in action.
Destiny Udogie and Michael Kayode were also in action on a busy day of Premier League football.
Vicario put in a spectacular performance in goal for Tottenham Hotspur despite the 2-0 defeat to in-form Manchester United. The Italian made a number of good saves and the scoreline would have been much heavier without his presence in between the posts.

Busy day for Vicario, Calafiori & Tonali
Riccardo Calafiori, meanwhile, made his first Premier League start of 2026, after suffering an injury in the festive period. The left-back played over an hour for the Gunners as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Sunderland.
Tonali has been dominating the headlines over the past week, having been linked suddenly with a late deadline day move to Arsenal. However, the Italian was out of the Gunners’ price range for a winter move and discussions appear to have been postponed until the summer.

Tonali played 87 minutes for Newcastle in their 3-2 defeat to Brentford, in a chaotic topsy-turvy clash at St. James Park. Kayode featured on the Brentford team, playing 90 minutes and doing a good job to nullify the threat of Newcastle’s wingers.
