Indian cricket player Kuldeep Yadav , is now in Australia with his family for a short vacation. He recently went to the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). While there, Kuldeep took a picture with a statue of his favorite player, the late Shane Warne, who is outside the stadium.
Thinking about that moment, Kuldeep said, “Shane Warne was my favorite player, and I felt a very strong bond with him. I still feel sad when I remember Warnie—it’s like I lost a family member.”
During his trip to Melbourne, Kuldeep also visited the Cricket Australia (CA) headquarters. He received a friendly online welcome from Nick Hockley, the CEO of Cricket Australia. They gave Kuldeep a summary of the upcoming cricket season in Australia, emphasizing the excitement because both India and Pakistan will be playing there this year.
Kuldeep was very excited and said, “I’m happy to be at Cricket Australia’s headquarters and the famous MCG. I can’t wait for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and we expect a fantastic match between Australia and India this year.”
He also recognized the constant support from Indian cricket fans, saying, “Indian cricket fans always back the team everywhere in the world, and I believe many of them will attend the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, especially for the Boxing Day Test.”
Kuldeep was a member of India’s winning team in the T20 World Cup, where they became champions for the first time since 2007. Following that, he played in a three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka, taking four wickets.
Kuldeep will soon be playing again in the Duleep Trophy. He has been selected for Team A, which will be led by Shubman Gill. This red-ball competition will start India’s domestic season, and national selectors will be closely observing the players before the two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home.
