After the bumpy few months for YT Industries and the announcement that he’d be retiring from World Cup Racing, Jack Moir is a free agent these days. With this new trajectory, Moir has been enjoying a bit of brand freedom to ride whatever bike he damn well pleases – which has been pretty fun to watch. In the latest MoiMoiTV, Jack hops on board a Specialized Stumpjumper 15 EVO for some hectic party laps with Remy Morton, David Mcmillan, and Ed Masters at the Cannonball MTB Fastival at Thredbo, in New South Wales, Australia.
With Specialized having quite the presence at the Cannonball Festival and sponsoring the All-Mountain Enduro, Moir was keen to match the crew and give a Stumpjumper 15 a rip on the Thredbo trails. After scoping out some rentals and walking away with a Stumpy 15, the team at the Specialized tent hooked Moir up with a Stumpjumper 15 Evo for some rowdy laps; those laps are worth a watch, as is the case with most of Jack’s videos.
Along with all the pros in town for the weekend, the Cannonball MTB Festival brings everyone out of the woodwork each year for six events: The Specialized All-Mountain Enduro, Rockshox Australian Open Downhill, Dual Slalom, Fox Flow Motion Cup, Oakley Pump Track Challenge, and everyone’s favorite Deity Whip Wars. The Cannonball fest has been on my bucket list for years, and watching these videos every February as I sit indoors watching rain fall on our muddy trails, I think I might have to plan a trip for next year.
