Following the season, Price declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be

Jadarian Price Strengths

Price has a combination of power and speed that is unique for a running back prospect. He has solid acceleration and can get up to top speed fairly quickly. Price is a great straight-line athlete and his speed can help him separate in the openfield. With his speed, he has solid power, especially for a back of his size. He shows good contact balance and can run right through arm tackles.

His vision is solid and he processes things quickly. Especially for a running back that hasn’t received a ton of reps in college, Price shows good patience and lets holes open up. Once he sees a crease, he is able to hit the hole quickly. His vision extends to the open-field, as he is a creative runner who runs to open space.

He has added value as a kick returner. During his time at Notre Dame, Price had three kickoff return touchdowns, with one coming in 2023 and two this season. He shows his vision and his speed in these cases. Price does well with the college kickoff rules, but also should be able to thrive as a returner in the new NFL kickoff rules as well, as he can read blocks well.

Jadarian Price Weaknesses

Price isn’t the most experienced third-down back. He had just 15 total receptions during his college career. Price can catch the ball, but can add more routes to his tree. He’ll have to earn the ability to play on third downs. While he shows good effort as a blocker, he can work on his technique and his recognition skills to be better in pass protection and provide more value on third downs.

While he does have good patience behind the line of scrimmage, there are times when Price dances too much behind the line of scrimmage. Once the hole opens up, Price needs to get north and south. If he can do that, his natural talent will help him pcik up more yardage and avoid negative plays.

While he is a good athlete, he doesn’t make defenders miss in the open field. He can break tackles or outrun defenders, but he doesn’t have great wiggle. Price can focus on using his speed or power to get past defenders instead of wasting time trying to put moves on defenders.
