Jade Cargill Fires Back at Goldberg Comparisons and ‘You Can’t Wrestle’ Claims

Jade Cargill has been getting hit with two of the loudest criticisms in wrestling right now — comparisons to Goldberg and claims that she “can’t wrestle.” Now, she’s finally responding.

With fans and veterans alike questioning her in-ring ability and rapid rise, the WWE Women’s Champion addressed both issues head-on and made it clear she’s not losing sleep over any of it. Speaking on Complex Graps on March 18, 2026, Cargill called out the ongoing narrative surrounding her, including the nickname that directly ties her to Goldberg.

“I’ve been called ‘Jadeberg.’ They tell me I can’t wrestle. The kill shot is, ‘You can’t wrestle.’ Just say it — ‘Well, you can’t wrestle.’ That’s all you can say.”

Rather than trying to argue with critics point-by-point, Jade Cargill leaned into her accomplishments and used them as her response to the noise.

“Guess what I’ll say? I can’t tell — I’m a champion. I can’t tell — I’ve been a champion in two companies. I can’t tell — I’ve been on billboards. I can’t tell — I make a lot of money.”

She made it clear that no matter what is said about her in-ring work, her success speaks louder than any criticism. Cargill also addressed how she personally handles the constant criticism, saying very little actually gets to her. But she did set a clear boundary when it comes to her personal life.

“That’s the kill shot that you can say, and I promise you I can bounce back from anything. There’s nothing that someone can say that can make me feel less than or make me cry, because I know I’m witty and I come back hard. But the only thing I ask is don’t talk about my kids.”

Cargill’s response comes at a time when her name continues to be part of major discussions around WWE — from her push to her development and overall performance inside the ring. Still, if this message is anything to go by, she’s not backing down — and she’s more than ready to keep proving people wrong her own way.
