Jake “The Snake” Roberts has shared a new update on his health — and despite multiple medical challenges, the WWE Hall of Famer says he’s doing okay.
Roberts talked about his current condition during an interview with CYInterview. The wrestling legend revealed that he recently underwent another hip replacement surgery. Roberts explained that while the procedure was complicated, doctors were able to successfully complete the surgery.
“COPD is still a pain in the ass, but it’s under control. I just had another hip replaced, my third one. It was a bit of a challenge because they had to replace one that had already been replaced before. They had to do some extra work, but they took care of everything and I came out of it okay.”
The veteran also revealed that doctors implanted a Watchman device in his chest — a medical implant designed to help prevent strokes by reducing the risk of blood clots: “I’ve also got a Watchman device in my chest now to help prevent strokes, and it’s doing its job.”
Despite the long list of health challenges he’s faced over the years, Roberts said he feels good overall and has accepted the reality of getting older. The WWE Hall of Famer ended the update on a reflective note, saying he’s grateful for the life he’s lived.
“I feel good overall. I’m getting older and I know that, and I accept it. I’m not upset about it at all. I’ve had a great life, so whatever comes next, I’m good with it.”
Roberts has faced numerous health battles throughout his life, including COPD, diabetes, and serious surgeries connected to the physical toll of his wrestling career. Despite those challenges, he has continued to remain active in wrestling through appearances and mentorship roles.
