The 2026 Miami Open concludes today and once again we see a surprise Czech player in great form. Last year it was Jakub Mensik who went all the way, this time it’s Jiri Lehecka who aims to pull off one of the greatest upsets in Masters 1000 history.
On the other side, Jannik Sinner is looking to cement his status as the best player in the world, and he enters the match as big favorite (as we are used to).
Here is the preview for the Men’s Singles Final, and our predictions for Sinner vs Lehecka.
Jannik Sinner vs. Jiri Lehecka
Time: Scheduled for 3:00 PM ET (Stadium Court)
Sinner is on the verge of history. After defeating Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6 in the semifinals, Sinner has now won 32 consecutive sets at the Masters 1000 level. If he wins today without dropping a set, he will become the first player in ATP history to complete the Sunshine Double with a perfect 24-0 set record. He is currently 24-3 all-time in Miami and looks practically invincible on these fast hard courts.
Lehecka has played great tennis and deserve this place in the final. The 24-year-old Czech reached his first-ever Masters 1000 final by dismantling Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-2 in an impressive way, even though Fils looked slightly fatigued. Lehecka has shown extreme strength on his serve and is very hard to break. He’s entering the final as a huge underdog, looking at the odds among tennis bookmakers.
- Head-to-Head: Sinner leads 4–0. Their most recent meeting was at Roland Garros last year, where Sinner won in a lopsided straight-sets victory.
- The Matchup: Both players hit a extremely flat, heavy ball. The key will be whether Lehecka’s serve can withstand the pressure of Sinner, arguably the best returner in the game today. Lehecka needs to keep his first-serve percentage very high to have any chance of stopping Sinner today.

Prediction for Sinner vs Lehecka
Lehecka is playing the best tennis of his life, but he has not yet met anyone of Sinners level and with his current form and physique. I also don’t think it’s a good matchup for the Czech. He had an amazing run in Miami but it will stop here. I will go for an unsurprising straight set win for Sinner, but we might see one tie-break.
