Jaron Ennis has made his prediction for Saturday’s super welterweight world title showdown between Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman.
Ennis will be a keen observer as Fundora defends his WBC belt against Thurman at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, live on Amazon Prime pay-per-view.
Fundora, making a third defence of his crown, is a strong favourite to overcome the former unified welterweight titlist.
However, ‘Boots’ Ennis believes Thurman may pull off the upset and become a two-weight world champion.
“At first I was thinking Fundora was going to win,” the 28-year-old told YSM Sports Media.
“But now, I got a weird feeling that Keith Thurman’s going to win.
“I don’t know why and I don’t know how, but I got a weird feeling that Keith Thurman’s going to win or he might drop him or something.
“I don’t know, I think he might just catch him.”

Fundora has won three on the bounce since a seventh round knockout loss to Brian Mendoza in 2023.
Ennis became the WBA interim super welterweight champion with a first round knockout of Uisma Lima in October.
The Philadelphia man was negotiating for a much-anticipated showdown with Vergil Ortiz Jr, however the bout failed to materialise with Ortiz embroiled in a legal dispute with his promotional team, Golden Boy.
“I did everything in my power to make this fight happen for the fans,” Ennis said on X of the failed negotiations with Ortiz.
“I waited long enough and I stayed quiet through it all.

“It looks like Vergil or his team really didn’t want to fight I came to his fight in his home town and told him he was next.
“That was November, it’s March and still nothing. It’s time to move on. Two division champion up next.
“I told yall the truth was gone come to the light.”

Ennis is reportedly close to agreeing a deal to face unified WBO and WBA titlist, Xander Zayas, with a meeting targeted for June.
Zayas, 23, added the WBA belt to his collection with a split decision victory over Abass Baraou in January.
