Jasprit Bumrah outclasses Bangladeshi opener with a peach of a delivery

On Day 2 of the first Test in Chennai, India’s ‘Kohinoor’ Jasprit Bumrah delivered an early breakthrough to the team by sending Shadman Islam packing on just 2 runs. In all formats of the game, Bumrah arguably remains the best fast bowler in the world. However, it was a delivery that made Shadman feel let down and helpless as he expected it to swing away from him. For instance, after facing the final ball of Bumrah’s first over, Shadman thought that possibly leaving this one would help him miss his stumps by a mile. But then what India’s pacer did with that red cherry shocked him completely

The top of Shadman’s off-stump was knocked by one heavily misjudged delivery from Bumra by Shadman as well all know too well; although great evil had been done.

Take a look at the video:

For their last delivery in over bamrah changed his angle where as he had bowled 5 previous deliveries from the opposite end of the stumps. The ball was left by Shadman without knowing its course. What followed next is known to all.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh were beaten at home ground after first two days of match 1 at 376 runs. This was largely due to Ravindra Jadeja’s (Ravichandran) century as well as his 199-run partnership with India, whose innings started on the last day with a score of 339/6. As for the Indians who began with a total of 339/6 they lost all four wickets for only 37 runs and Jadeja was not [first out]first caught.

Taskin Ahmed eventually got rid of him when he added an additional 11 runs to his overnight figure of 102 before being knocked out by Taskin Ahmed .

The Bangladesh pacer grabbed three wickets (3/55) — Jadeja, Ashwin and Akash Deep

Pacer Hasan Mahmud emerged the beast for Bangladesh snaring five wickets for 83 runs.
