The newly appointed chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Jay Shah, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to prominent figures in cricket, including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, for their congratulatory messages following his election. At just 35 years old, Shah is set to become the youngest individual to lead the ICC. His nomination was supported unanimously by all 15 members of the ICC Board, following Barclay’s decision not to seek a third term. Shah’s extensive experience as BCCI secretary since 2019 and his role as the Chair of the Asian Cricket Council since January 2021 have equipped him with valuable insights into international cricket administration.
