Jay White is stirring speculation again — but fans probably shouldn’t get their hopes up just yet.
The AEW star took to Twitter on March 15, 2026 with another cryptic teaser that quickly got people talking about a possible return. He wrote, “Ok. Ready?”
It’s not the first time White has sent fans into detective mode with a vague message. Back on October 16, 2025, he posted a one-word tweet — “Ready?” — that had many believing the Switchblade was preparing to return after months on the sidelines. That excitement quickly faded when reports revealed the situation behind the scenes was far less promising. Now nearly five months later, White is once again teasing fans online. However, a fresh update suggests his comeback may still be a long way off.
During the March 14 edition of the Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked directly about White’s injury status and whether there had been any movement toward a return to AEW programming. According to Sapp, the most recent information he heard still indicates White remains sidelined.
“ Injured still as of the last time I heard about him. I heard that Ospreay would probably be back before he was.”
White has been out of action since March 29, 2025 after injuring his hand during a match with Kevin Knight. The injury forced him to withdraw from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and also scrapped AEW’s plans for a major match against Will Ospreay at Dynasty. Reports later revealed that White was also dealing with a shoulder issue, which only complicated his recovery timeline and kept him away from the ring longer than expected.
So while his latest tweet might have fans wondering if the Switchblade is about to resurface, the latest information coming out of AEW suggests otherwise. For now, White’s message appears to be doing exactly what he intended — getting people talking — even if a return doesn’t seem imminent.
