South African Jayden Schaper won his second consecutive title at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, a tournament organized in collaboration between the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour on the par-72 Heritage La Réserve Golf Links course in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. The best of the five Italians in the field was Gregorio De Leo, a 25-year-old from Biella, 21st with a 281 (73 67 74 67, -7), who recovered 21 places in the final round with a 67 (-5, one eagle, four birdies, one bogey). This is his third appearance of the new season, having previously finished 14th in Australia.

Jayden Schaper, a 24-year-old from Benoni, a professional since 2020, once again prevailed in the playoff, as he did last week at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, for a victory that clinches him on both circuits. He recovered from fourth place with a 64 (-8, one eagle, six birdies), drawing level with Gerard, a 26-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, a pro since 2022, for a PGA Tour title (Barracuda Championship, 2025). Gerard was tied for the top spot with South African Casey Jarvis, who was third with a 271 (-17). The American shot a 66 (-6, six birdies), narrowly avoiding a lead, but was then helpless against Schaper's eagle, who holed his third shot from off the green. He received a check for 174,065 out of a prize pool of approximately €1,025,000 (officially $1,200,000).

Norway's Andreas Halvorsen finished fourth with a score of 272 (-16), South Africa's Zander Lombard and England's John Parry, the defending champion, finished fifth with a score of 273 (-15), and Spain's Manuel Elvira and France's Alexander Levy finished seventh with a score of 274 (-14).

Of the other four Italians, Francesco Laporta, a 35-year-old from Castellana Grotte (BA), was a bit of a fluctuating performer, but effective, finishing 25th with a score of 282 (71 67 72 72, -6), in his second appearance after his exit at the cut in Johannesburg. Renato Paratore, a 29-year-old from Rome, finished 44th with a score of 286 (74 69 68 75, -2), and Andrea Pavan, a 36-year-old from the capital, finished 48th with a score of 297 (73 69 71 74, -1), played his first money tournament out of three. Stefano Mazzoli, a 28-year-old from Segrate (MI), was out midway through the match, finishing 86th with a score of 147 (78 69, +3).
