Jaylen Brown Climbs Celtics' All-Time Scoring List Against Warriors

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown continues to have one of the best years of his career. Without his running mate, Jayson Tatum, for most of the 2025-26 NBA season, Brown has worked relentlessly to carry the team. Before their Wednesday bout against the Golden State Warriors, the star has appeared in 61 games, missing only seven games.

He is having his best scoring average, putting up 28.4 points on a career-best 16.0 2-point field goal attempts. Brown is also averaging 7.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists, which are both his career-highs.

Against the Warriors, Brown achieved an outstanding milestone after scoring 23 points in the first half.

In the first quarter, he passed Jo Jo White for 11th place in the franchise scoring list after he scored 19 points. Following that, he entered the top 10, passing Dave Cowens, who had 13,192 points for the Celtics.

Brown joined his co-star in the top 10, and they are the only active players on the list.

After the Celtics’ 120-112 win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday, Brown took a moment to reflect on his career-year.

“It’s been a great year, I’m extremely grateful,” Brown said.

“Just the approach from the beginning of the summer, to where we’re at now. I’m proud of my team, I’m proud of myself, all of the above. I’ve always felt like I could be one of the top players in the world, given the opportunity. I feel like I got to display that this season.”

With their rise in the Eastern Conference standings, Brown has his eyes on the playoffs. The Celtics weren’t title favorites before the start of the summer. Aside from Tatum’s Achilles injury, the franchise had to let go of some of the key players. The front management did not bring back veteran big man Al Horford, and Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis were moved during the offseason.

However, the Celtics rose above all challenges, thanks to the big year from Brown, who’s also a favorite to win the MVP. In the latest update from the league, the NBA star is No. 7 to win the award.

Although he has a shot at the individual award, he focused on what the Celtics can achieve.

“Obviously, I’m having a great season, but then I have to just think, what’s the big picture? And sometimes that’s not easy, but always put the team first,” he said

Brown is eyeing to lead the Celtics to win another NBA championship.
