JDG Esports Unveils Imposing New Headquarters in Beijing

JDG Esports, the esports branch of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com, has unveiled its impressive new headquarters in Yizhuang, Beijing. The sprawling facility signifies JDG’s commitment to professional esports and provides a state-of-the-art environment for its teams and staff.

A Multi-Functional Space for Teams and Business

Encompassing over 15,000 square meters, the new JDG Esports HQ offers a comprehensive space for the organization’s various needs. The five-story building features a dedicated event space on the first floor, ideal for hosting tournaments, meet-and-greets, and other fan engagement activities.

“In a previous interview with JDG Esports, the team explained how its esports venue is commercialised and how much space has been integral to the partnership strategy,” the article states, hinting at the potential for the event space to generate revenue through sponsorships and activations.

The second floor houses a modern and integrated office area, likely accommodating JDG Esports’ business operations staff, and management, and potentially housing content creation studios.

Dedicated Player Facilities Foster Training and Comfort

The third floor is designated as a “live streaming base,” providing a dedicated space for players and content creators to stream and engage with fans online. This dedicated area reflects the growing importance of live streaming in esports and JDG’s commitment to fostering a strong online presence.

The top two floors of the JDG Esports headquarters are dedicated entirely to the players’ well-being. These floors offer training facilities, practice rooms, and comfortable living quarters, ensuring players have everything they need to train effectively and relax in between matches.

Esports Powerhouse with Growing Roster and Partnerships

JDG Esports currently fields competitive teams in some of the most popular esports titles, including League of Legends, VALORANT, Peacekeeper Elite, Naraka Bladepoint, and Honor of Kings. The recent acquisition of a KPL franchise slot from Vici Gaming solidified JDG’s presence in the popular mobile MOBA game Honor of Kings.

Beyond its competitive endeavours, JDG Esports has actively secured partnerships with major brands. Earlier this year, the organization announced sponsorship deals with German supplement brand Doppelherz and car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, solidifying its position as a leading force in Chinese esports. JDG’s extensive list of partners also includes tech giants like Intel and ASUS ROG, streaming platform Huya, and several other prominent brands.

The inauguration of the JDG Esports headquarters marks a significant milestone for the organization. The impressive facility serves as a testament to JDG’s ambition and commitment to professional esports, providing its players and staff with the resources and environment needed to succeed on the global stage.
