Jeff Jarrett is adding another business venture to his résumé, stepping into a major leadership role outside the wrestling world.
A new press release from Arena Football One confirmed that the Nashville Kats have officially added Jarrett as Managing Partner and Co-Owner, marking a significant expansion of his business interests beyond professional wrestling.
The announcement was made by Nashville Kats President and Partner Jeff Fisher, who made it clear the team sees Jarrett as a major asset when it comes to growing the franchise and building its brand.
“We are so excited to have Jeff Jarrett play a lead role in our franchise management team on a variety of levels,” Fisher said. “Obviously, he is among the best in any business at promotions and marketing and all the components that come with that. Jeff’s impact on the Kats will be immeasurable, and his leadership and experiences are invaluable resources.”
Jarrett, a longtime figure in professional wrestling and a member of multiple Hall of Fames, also addressed the announcement and made it clear he views the opportunity as a major milestone in his long career as a promoter and businessman.
“The legacy and leadership abilities of Jeff Fisher make it an honor to be his business partner with the Kats,” Jarrett said. “I’m a third-generation promoter with 40 years in the industry. I am honored to be called by Coach Fisher to help him and the Kats create excitement both on and off the field.”
Jarrett also pointed to Fisher’s vision for the team as one of the key reasons he chose to get involved, saying he sees major potential for the franchise moving forward.
“Coach Fisher’s desire to make the Kats the preeminent franchise in Arena Football is genuine and exciting,” Jarrett said. “I’m so excited to be part of the Kats and their longstanding footprint in this area. I can’t wait for opening night and look forward to seeing everyone come out and support the Kats and be part of something special.”
The Nashville Kats compete in Arena Football One and will play their home games at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. Their season is set to begin at home on April 17 at 7 p.m. against the Michigan Arsenal.
Jarrett’s involvement adds to an already packed career that spans decades in professional wrestling. He founded both TNA Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling, earned induction into the TNA/Impact Hall of Fame in 2015 and the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018, and has held more than 80 championships across multiple promotions worldwide.
Outside of wrestling, Jarrett has also taken on several business ventures, including his current role as Director of Business Development at AEW and co-ownership of the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes collegiate summer league baseball team.
With Jarrett now stepping into a leadership role with the Nashville Kats, this move signals another chapter in his long history as a promoter — this time focused on expanding into the arena football world.
