Jessica Benni scores five as FIFA U15 Girls Regional Colts Leagues kick off in Greater Accra • Sahara Football

The FIFA U15 Girls Regional Colts Leagues officially kicked off in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with four matches played at the McDan La Town Park to mark the beginning of the maiden edition of the competition.

The opening match saw Ridge City Women claim a 2–1 victory over Ideal Ladies. Attention then shifted to the second fixture of the day, where Cabfix Ladies U15 produced the most emphatic result, defeating Ga West Ladies 9–0.

Jessica Benni was the standout performer, scoring five goals, while Jessica Dzamesi registered a hat-trick and Rose Amakie Sebbi added one to complete the scoring.

In the third match, Epiphany New Gen recorded a 2–0 win over Accra Ladyz, while the final fixture between Rock Ladies and Dangme South Ladies ended in a goalless draw.

Before the start of the matches, FIFA Consultant Thuba Sibanda assisted in the presentation of sanitary pads to the players and later took photographs with the teams. She also stayed on to watch the matches, alongside officials of the Ghana Football Association, as the competition made its first appearance in the region.

The FIFA U15 Girls Regional Colts Leagues are being staged under FIFA’s Women’s Football Development Programme, aimed at strengthening grassroots participation, talent identification, and long-term player development in women’s football.
