Jets recall DiVincentiis, Heinola, Salomonsson, Duehr from Moose

Though they don’t play again until Feb. 25, the team can now resume practicing, although they are still missing forwards Kyle Connor (USA), Nino Niederreiter (SUI), defenceman Josh Morrissey (CAN), and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck (USA) due to the Olympics taking place overseas.

Tuesday morning, the Jets announced they recalled four players from the Manitoba Moose: goaltender Domenic DiVincentiis, defenceman Elias Salomonsson, Ville Heinola, and forward Walker Duehr. All four participated in the skate.

TRANSACTIONS: The #NHLJets have recalled G – Domenic DiVincentiis, D – Ville Heinola, D – Elias Salomonsson, and F – Walker Duehr from the Manitoba Moose (AHL). The Jets also reassigned G – Isaac Poulter from the Norfolk Admirals (ECHL) to the Moose.

Defencemen Haydn Fleury and Neal Pionk also took part in practice, both wearing yellow non-contact jerseys, though defenceman Colin Miller was nowhere to be seen.
Following the skate, Jets head coach Scott Arniel provided further updates to the media.

Miller skated Monday and will also skate Wednesday. Pionk is a possibility for the upcoming three-game road trip, while Fleury is getting better but will need some time to get his conditioning back up to par.

The Moose still have two home games this weekend against the Iowa Wild, so it will be interesting to see if the Jets return the recalled players to Manitoba to keep them getting game reps instead of just practicing with the NHL club.
