Jey Uso addressed the growing criticism of The Bloodline following Roman Reigns’ victory at the 2026 Royal Rumble by using social media to defend his family’s role and legacy in WWE.
The comments came amid backlash from fans unhappy with Reigns’ return to the WrestleMania main event picture.
Reigns won the Men’s Royal Rumble match in Riyadh, last eliminating Gunther to secure his place at WrestleMania 42.
The win marked the second Royal Rumble victory of his career. The victory also set up a World Heavyweight Championship challenge posed to CM Punk, a confrontation that played out on RAW shortly after the event.
Jey Uso reacts to recent criticism surrounding The Bloodline and Roman Reigns
Following that RAW appearance, Jey Uso posted a message to his Instagram Stories responding to criticism aimed at his family. “So much hate on dis mf. I’ll never hate on my own family. We lift each other up, the whole world already trynna keep us down,” Jey wrote. He added that The Bloodline is still thriving and wrapped up his thoughts by crediting the group for popularizing the term “cinema” in wrestling.
The criticism Jey referenced stemmed from fan frustration after the Royal Rumble. Some viewers expressed fatigue over Bloodline-focused booking and questioned the need for another Reigns Rumble win at this stage of his career.
Online discussion also pointed to production choices during the match, including camera shots focused on Jey’s entrance while Brock Lesnar was eliminated in the background.
Jey’s post also followed Reigns’ on-screen decision to challenge Punk for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42, a moment that reignited focus on the family dynamic. Reigns has publicly praised Jey in the past, encouraging family loyalty despite internal disagreements.
Jey currently holds the WWE World Tag Team Championship alongside Jimmy Uso, reinforcing the group’s ongoing presence across WWE programming.
As WrestleMania season continues, The Bloodline remains central to the company’s biggest stories regardless of the criticism surrounding it.
