Jofra Archer Drops Cryptic Post After Being Omitted from Tests

Within a few times, England and Sri Lanka will face each other in a three-match Test series. After a while, both are returning to the longest format. The England side already faced a setback as Ben Stokes was ruled out due to an injury. In this situation, England’s star fast bowler Jofra Archer, overlooked for the upcoming Test series, has posted a cryptic message on social media that has sparked considerable interest.

Jofra Archer’s Cryptic Post:

England and Sri Lanka are all set to face each other in a three-match Test series. The first Test is all set to be held on August 21. Surprisingly, Jofra Archer has not been named in the squad for the upcoming Test series. After being sidelined for a long time due to injury, the pacer made a comeback a few times ago. But missed securing a slot again.

Jofra Archer has been rested from the remaining Southern Brave matches in The Hundred to manage his workload. Ahead of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, the England fast bowler posted a cryptic message on social media that has attracted significant attention.

He wrote, “A waste and always injured.” After he made the post, it has gone viral. Fans started asking questions in the comment section of the post. Even after representing the Engish side, the supreme bowler was excluded from the Test squad.

Rob Key on Archer:

Jofra Archer is a formidable bowler of England. But he faced injury setbacks in the major parts of his career. After a long injury, he came back to represent his nation in the T20 World Cup. Earlier this year, ECB managing director Rob Key stated that England would not rush Jofra Archer across formats. Key emphasized that Archer will focus on white-ball cricket first before making his return to Test matches.

He said, “The whole plan with Jofra is he’s going to play white-ball cricket for this summer and going into the winter. Then hopefully next summer, when we play India and then onto the Ashes, we get him back for Test cricket. It’s a slow process to get him back for all forms.”
