As previously reported here on eWN, Davey Coates, an ex-WWE production team member who was with the company for decades, has passed away.
Several names from the world of pro wrestling have paid tribute to Coates, and on Twitter, John Cena kept his words short and sweet.
Coates was instrumental in helping WWE coordinate its global tours and, according to WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Coates played a crucial role in keeping WWE NXT UK operating despite the many challenges of the time.
Coates had been with WWE since 1996, according to a photo shared by Levesque, though he may have been with the company for longer than that.
Our thoughts are with Coates’ friends, family, and colleagues at this sad time.
