John Cena’s Last Match Cost A Content Creator An Insane Amount Of Money

John Cena’s WWE retirement match cost a digital creator a staggering amount of money.

John Cena retired at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C. The GOAT lost his final match via submission, a finish so controversial that it reportedly led to his opponent, Gunther, being harassed by rowdy fans outside the venue.

In a recent interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Gunther spoke about the swarm of fans he encountered after his match against John Cena at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

“I wanted to embrace it a little bit. I could have hidden more or something, but it felt good, walking through the anger of the people,” he said.

While John Cena smiled even in the face of adversity, the same cannot be said for a fan who paid thousands of dollars to say goodbye to his favorite wrestler.

YouTuber Troydan dropped a new vlog in which he revealed the insane amount of money he spent to watch John Cena’s final match in person.

“I purchased a VIP package for this event where I’d be sitting ringside for a price of $14,468 Canadian. Yes, I paid almost $15,000 for a four-match event. I had to do it though. It was for Cena,” he said.

“This VIP package included perks like a photo opportunity with John Cena, all-inclusive pre-show hospitality, and tickets to Six Feet Under with The Undertaker.

“I took a flight from Nova Scotia to Washington, D.C., which is apparently where Donald Trump lives now. I decided to stay at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel, and the place was kind of strange. All in all, including flights, hotel, and Ubers, the trip cost me about $17,000.”
